Hog Roast Exeter has just had an exciting weekend catering for a wedding that will feature on a very popular TV show in the near future! As it’s all a bit hush-hush at the moment, we can’t reveal the name of the popular TV show just yet but keep your eyes peeled on our Facebook page as when we are able to, we will let you know all the juicy details. Catering a popular TV show like this is our claim to fame so we can’t wait to spill the beans.
What we can tell you is that Martin the chef and our team at Hog Roast Exeter had a great time preparing, cooking and serving some of our delicious food to the guests at the lovely Exeter wedding. When it comes to catering weddings, we have heaps of experience of providing fresh, quality, homemade food for all kinds of receptions, including formal, sit-down affairs with several courses and waiters serving drinks and canapés, as well as informal parties with the main meal being our hugely popular pigs in buns (which is what we call hog roast rolls). The latter is just what was requested for this special day, in addition to various, fresh salad dishes.
When we put together pigs in buns, it’s after we’ve slowly roasted the hog for hours, let the meat rest a little and then carved away to produce trays of salty crackling and pork slices. We then add bits of both to fresh bread rolls or wraps (or both, if preferred), top with our special apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing, and then let the guests add their own choice of condiment. Pigs in buns are an amazing way to feed your guests on your wedding day, as they’re so fresh, hot and tasty, but they’re also a really economical catering option too.
On the day of the wedding, Martin and the team got cracking while the hall and tables were being decorated beautifully, and we even put lights around out designated area. We always go the extra mile when it comes to our customers, including giving them flowers and a card on the day, as here at Hog Roast Exeter, we only want the best for you and your guests, and that’s whether or not your wedding is part of a popular TV show!
