Leanne and her husband have been married for ten years this November and wanted to do something special to celebrate the occasion. When the pair got married, they had a small reception with only close family in attendance, so this year they wanted to host a big celebration with all of their favourite people invited. They have planned to host an anniversary party at a reception in Devon, with 150 people invited. For the catering, Leanne contacted Hog Roast Tavistock to discuss menu options for the occasion. Our catering manager Adam was on hand to talk through our menus before it was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Tavistock team arrived at the venue in the morning and began to prepare for the 8:00pm serving time. We began our menu prep by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, before being expertly carved by our chef. Once ready, the pork was served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we provided succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages to create hot dogs. For the side dishes, the guests enjoyed homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. Our menu was simple yet delicious and was the perfect addition to this anniversary celebration!
