At Hog Roast Clyst St Mary we take pride in every event we cater for and we know that to our clients every event is special to them as they enjoy our food with their nearest and dearest. We have to admit though, that for Hog Roast Clyst St Mary one of the most enjoyable events we cater at as it is such a special time is anniversary parties. It’s just so wonderful to come together and help celebrate a couple that have been together for so many years and still after all this time put the effort in to show each other how much they are loved.
Last weekend was the anniversary of Tim and Sue who had now been together a mighty fifty years and were still going strong! Over the course of their time together they had achieved the heights of their careers, raised a family, built their dream house and even adopted a couple of dogs and now it was their time for their family to appreciate all they had done for them with a Hog Roast Clyst St Mary meal.
We had been enlisted to cater by the couple’s daughter, June who wanted us to prepare something special for them and we of course were happy to help. We served our classic spit roasted pig, slow cooked over open flames and carved into beautiful bite sized chunks, perfect for filling our freshly baked floured bread rolls. No hog roast is complete without apple sauce and stuffing and so we prepared our homemade punchy apple sauce and home comfort style sage and onion stuffing on site. Not forgetting our professionally presented crackling which we manage to make crispy and melt in the mouth succulent all at the same time with our secret recipe.
By the looks on their faces Tim and Sue seemed to have a wonderful evening and we would like to wish them a very happy anniversary from all of us at Hog Roast Clyst St Mary!
