Earlier this academic year, Hog Roast Dartmouth was contacted by a local university to arrange catering for an upcoming society event. The event is being hosted by the Aquatic Sports Society, which includes the swim team, water polo, and synchronised swimming. Their upcoming event is a 24-hour swimathon, aiming to raise money for the annual European aquatics tour. Every society member will be taking part in the relay and swimming from 9am until the following 9am. To give the supporters and swimmers something to keep them going, Hog Roast Dartmouth will be providing a delicious buffet menu at 3pm. Our menu will include a variety of dishes, allowing everyone to create a filling and hearty meal.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Dartmouth team will arrive at the venue in the morning and begin to prepare for the 3pm serving time. Our prep will begin with slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it is packed full of natural juices and flavours. Additionally, we will be serving BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious meat-free alternative to pork. The mains will be served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade apple sauce, and crispy crackling. For the sides, the guests can enjoy homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of fresh salad dishes. Overall, this menu is sure to be a great addition to the event and will hopefully give the team the energy they need to power through!
