July ended on a high note for Hog Roast Tiverton. We got the call to serve up our signature hog roast at a joint birthday and showroom re-launch party for 100 guests nearby, and honestly, it was one of those days that reminded us exactly why we love this job.
The client had been grafting away for weeks pulling the whole event together, so when it came to us stepping in for one of the biggest jobs on their checklist, the food, we were more than happy to take that weight off their shoulders.
Because let’s face it, no party, big or small, really works without something genuinely good to eat. So we sat down with the client early on and built a menu that would win over even the pickiest guests in the room.
A whole hog roast sat at the heart of the spread, joined by grilled vegetable kebabs with optional chunks of halloumi and vegan-friendly pulled jackfruit burgers, so whatever people fancied, there was something waiting for them. But that’s never quite enough for us. If you know Hog Roast Tiverton at all, you’ll know we can’t resist throwing in a few extras to push every plate a bit further, so homemade applesauce, sage and onion stuffing, proper crackling, a mixed salad and gourmet coleslaw with just enough lemon in it to balance out all the savoury goodness, all made their way onto the table too.

The reaction, honestly, was something else. Guests couldn’t get enough of the spread – and it wasn’t just the food doing the talking either. The presentation and the general good vibe from Hog Roast Tiverton’s catering team seemed to settle everyone in almost instantly. People were feeling relaxed within minutes of arriving, and once they’d had that first bite, there was no stopping them going back for seconds. Some even managed thirds.
By the time the event wound down, the plates were scraped clean, the guests were still buzzing, and the client couldn’t stop smiling. Their re-launch had gone better than they’d dared hope, and honestly, that’s the kind of ending we always aim for at Hog Roast Tiverton.
