Ellen is in her second year of university and is just about to begin a segment of studying abroad. During her studies, she will be based in Spain for several months, which will be a great opportunity to undertake. To say goodbye, her parents are throwing her a leaving party, which will allow all of her friends and family to share their good wishes and good luck for her travels. The party is set to take place at their family home, with 40 guests in attendance. For the catering, Hog Roast Dartmouth has been hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion. It was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal, with a delicious meat-free dish also on offer.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Dartmouth team will be arriving at the venue in the morning, giving us plenty of time to prepare for the midday serving time. We will be setting up our catering station in the garden and hoping for an afternoon of good weather- with a marquee on hand for any rain showers. The star of this menu will be our slow-roasted hog, which will be cooked to perfection on-site and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alternatively, we will be providing BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious meat-free main dish. The guests can also enjoy homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes, creating a tasty and nutritious buffet lunch.
