Earlier this month, they did exactly that. A summer corporate party, 133 guests and Hog Roast Wellington brought in to make sure the food lived up to the occasion. Spoiler alert: it did.
With the scorching sun driving temperatures towards the 30-degree mark, our Gourmet BBQ Menu was the obvious call – and it landed perfectly. Homemade 100% British beef burgers, Thai chicken kebabs with a genuinely impressive kick and slow-roasted pulled pork gave the meat lovers in the crowd three very different directions to go in. Melting cheese and fried onions were on hand to take any of the above up another level, which – judging by how quickly they disappeared – most guests were very happy to do.
Veggie and vegan guests weren’t stuck twiddling their thumbs either. Thanks to Hog Roast Wellington’s tasty veggie burgers and grilled vegetable kebabs with optional halloumi, tzatziki dip and sweet chilli sauce, the plant-based contingent had a spread worth getting genuinely excited about rather than making do with. Greek salad, pasta salad and a mix of sweet potato and classic fries pulled everything together nicely, giving every plate that satisfying sense of being properly filled.
There’s something about good food in the sunshine with colleagues that works in a way a team meeting never quite manages. Conversations happen differently. People feel more relaxed. The usual workplace dynamic softens into something more human, and by the end of the afternoon, everyone has had a genuinely good time rather than just a tolerable one. That’s exactly the kind of afternoon the Synertec team enjoyed – and Hog Roast Wellington was honoured to be a part of it.
