And now that things are beginning to feel a bit more normal again, we have been out and about a lot more in recent weeks, soaking up the sunshine and helping the citizens of Devon pull off their post-lockdown parties in style.
Among our long queue of unusual bookings came a request from Carla, who had explained to Adam, our catering manager, how every birthday in her family is traditionally celebrated with a huge party. Unfortunately, with lockdown putting a stop to nearly all celebrations last year (especially the big ones), no one had been able to celebrate properly. And so, to make up for all the fun they missed out on, she had planned a collective birthday party for everyone.
Hog Roast Barnstaple couldn’t wait to see what she came up with for the unconventional day, but first, Carla needed the perfect menu. This happened to be our Gourmet BBQ, which offers a succulent selection of insanely delicious grilled meats, fresh salads and even a meatless option. For dessert, Carla had organised for one massive birthday cake, with different flavoured layers to suit everyone’s preferences too.
The day itself was a wonderful experience, and Carla had managed to find entertainment that suited everyone perfectly. The kids had bouncy castles and face painting, the adults had more age-appropriate games and plenty of alcohol, and tying it all together was Hog Roast Barnstaple’s tasty spread, which everyone loved!
