Stepping Into Retirement With A Hog Roast Exmouth Lunch!

When you’ve worked at the same company for as long as Frank had, people value you for being an integral part of the workforce. And so, when it finally came time for him to retire after dedicating forty-something years to the business, his work buddies weren’t just going to let him slip off into the sunset without giving him a proper send-off!

Instead, they got together in secret and discussed plans for a surprise party, which they had planned to throw after Frank’s last shift. And with everyone chipping in to cover the costs of the decorations and food, they decided to go all out by organising a superb feast, served by none other than Hog Roast Exmouth’s marvellous catering team!

Taking the lead on all correspondence with us and relaying the staff’s wants and ideas for the day was the businesses branch manager, Stephanie, who spent quite a while discussing menu options with our very own catering manager, Adam, before selecting our Gourmet BBQ Menu for the occasion.

With plenty of choices to suit everyone’s tastes and a grab-and-go style serving approach that makes it easy for guests to socialise while eating, this menu checked all the boxes for Stephanie and the team. Plus, with a variety of beautifully grilled free-range meats to indulge in, everyone was in agreement that hard core carnivore Frank would love it!

Hog Roast ExmouthOn the all-important day, Adam, along with a band of Hog Roast Exmouth’s best caterers, spent the whole afternoon grilling our handmade British beef burgers, gourmet sausages, chicken kebabs, marinated spareribs and veggie skewers to absolute perfection in the company car park, and thankfully, the weather stayed on its best behaviour for the occasion.

When Frank walked out, he couldn’t believe his eyes. While he was finishing up his final day at work, the staff had used their lunch break to hang up balloons and bunting around the business, and Hog Roast Exmouth had set up tables and chairs for people to sit and enjoy the BBQ, which was served up with a variety of yummy side options.

Saying goodbye to Frank was a bitter-sweet moment for everyone, and a few people even teared up while reading their letters to him, but they all had a great time and were in agreement that Hog Roast Exmouth absolutely nailed it with the food!
