When Ellen and Lauren first found out that their offer on their new house had been accepted, the pair quickly began planning how to celebrate the occasion and what kind of housewarming party to host. After several months of packing, moving, and settling into their new home in Devon, the pair are now finally able to host the party that they have been looking forward to for so long. The event is set to take place at their home this August, with 40 of their friends and family invited to attend. Everyone will be welcome to take a tour around their home and check out what they have done to make it their own. Hog Roast Ilfracombe has been hired to serve a classic hog roast in the garden, which is sure to be a great addition to the event.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Ilfracombe team arrived at the home in the afternoon and set up our catering station in the garden. We began our food prep by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it around five hours to cook to perfection. Once it was time to serve, the hog was carved and served in fresh bread rolls, accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we also served veggie sausages with a selection of condiments. The menu was a great addition to the evening and was perfect for making the most of the August sunshine and showing off their lovely new garden.
