This summer, Hog Roast Axminster catered for a charity ball hosted by a local rowing club, intended to raise money for new equipment, and also to donate to their annual chosen charity. Each year, the club chooses a new charity to raise money for throughout the year by completing a variety of challenges and fundraisers. For the ball, Hog Roast Axminster was hired to provide a formal dining menu for the occasion, with three courses of delicious dishes for the 140 guests to enjoy. Our menu was selected as it includes a good variety of dishes and is bound to have something for every guest to enjoy.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Axminster team arrived at the venue and began to prepare the menu for 8:00pm serving time. We began by serving the starter, which included a delicious homemade soup of the day, accompanied by fresh bread and butter. This was a delicious and light starter, providing a good introduction to our style of catering.
For the main course, the guests enjoyed a classic Hog Roast Axminster meal, consisting of sliced slow-roasted pork, roasted baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables, homemade applesauce, crispy crackling, and sage and onion stuffing. Overall, this was a hearty and filling main meal, with plenty for every guest to enjoy.
To finish the menu, the guests could choose between sticky toffee pudding and chocolate torte, with each dish accompanied by English cream and fresh berries. The final course went down a treat and was the perfect way to end the meal and prepare for an evening of entertainment.
