Hog Roast Dorchester were thrilled to be invited by Peter and Kate to cater for around 110 people at their wedding held at Conygar House in Dorset. We love catering at weddings and it is a speciality of ours alongside corporate and private parties, but we also know that planning needs to be meticulous to ensure that the bride and groom’s day goes without a hitch. First point of discussion for our chef Martin was choice of menu and with six to choose from ranging from an entry level option to a formal dinner and buffet, there is a selection appropriate for any wedding and cost. In this case, the bride and groom wanted us to deliver our famous hog roast in a roll for an informal late afternoon meal and also requested that we have a vegetarian option for non-meat eaters; they also wanted us to spit roast the hog which not many other caters can do – this wasn’t an issue for us!
Here at Hog Roast Dorchester, we clearly understand that a couple’s wedding is one of the most important events of their lives and we always ensure that our service is professional, friendly and high quality and with precise attention to detail. We are aware that there are many good caterers for this type of event but what makes us great, is this meticulous attention to detail and the high quality of our food and service; all of our chefs and serving staff appreciate and understand the importance of looking the part and delivering a professional service especially for a wedding.
Planning a wedding can be stressful and we always try to ensure that any service that we provide does not add to this, hence, we closely liaised with the families and other service providers to ensure that timings for setting up and service were appropriate and agreed to ensure that everyone’s expectations were met.
The event ran without any hitch as you would expect and we received many compliments from the guests relating to the high quality of the food and professional service; Hog Roast Dorchester were very proud to contribute to the success of this event.
